I intended to post this over a month ago when it was put together, but alas, life happened. Mama made me some pillows to go on my bed. Pulled together with some pillows I already had and a new coverlet, it is a lovely combination that makes me feel like I have a "big girl" bed. Sorry Kris, it is definitely "girl". But isn't it pretty?
It all started with the lady I tutored calling her son her treasure. I thought that was neat so I started telling my oldest son that he was my treasure. When I said it to him, he whispered, "Treasure", as if I was telling him a secret. My babies, all four of them, are my treasure.

Eli's Rock Star Day
Thursday was Rock Star Day at Eli's school. While he wasn't 100% sure he liked the idea of dressing up crazy (he definitely takes after both his mama and his daddy like that) he did look pretty awesome!
The closer we got to school the more unsure he felt about his ensemble. He begged for tennis shoes to replace the boots, while I begged for cooperation long enough to get in the class door. This is how he felt about it...
And this is post tears and Mama saying, "Okay, okay, shhh, shhh, shhh, don't cry, we'll change your shoes. It's okay, it's okay, we'll change them right now."
And this is post shoe change, post bandana removal, post tears, and "This is your LAST picture, Mom."
Judah wanted his hair spiked too (he was literally pulling his hair up in the air and pointing at the hair gel), but had to settle for boots since we were short on time. At least one of them wore the boots...
Does Eli's outfit look familiar?

Eli's Turn
Finally, Eli gets to go to school too. He's been asking me every day for a month now, "Do I go to school today?" He has the same teachers and the same classroom that Luke had last year, so he is way excited. It's so familar that I even said to Judah at pickup time, "Come over here to get Lukey from his classroom" only to smack myself and say, "I mean, get ELI from his classroom."
Ready to go!
He picked out his own outfit the night before.
"Okay, Ma, enough pictures. Get in the van."
He had a great morning and has spent the last hour telling me all about the boys in his class and the girls who chase them. It's going to be a fun year!
