It all started with the lady I tutored calling her son her treasure. I thought that was neat so I started telling my oldest son that he was my treasure. When I said it to him, he whispered, "Treasure", as if I was telling him a secret. My babies, all four of them, are my treasure.

It Truly Is the Little Things
I love how excited kids get about the simplest things. The other day in Wal-Mart I picked up some marshmallows so we could make Rice Krispie treats (I won't tell you how often I've been making them these days or how many I can eat in a single afternoon.), and I really wish I could have gotten on camera Luke's expression and voice when he saw me pick up the bag. It was so reminiscent of a certain Christmas morning in my childhood caught on video involving pink and white saddle oxfords and my own very high pitched, squealing, excited voice. Let's just say it's a family legend. It made me laugh and wish all at the same time that my heart was still so easily contented by $1.46.

"Ready?"
Eli is learning new words every day. The first thing he says to me in the morning is, "Hunyee, bed." (Honey, bread)
"Hi, Mama. I love you and you're the best mom in the world" would be nice, but "Hunyee, bed" makes me smile too.
Another one that makes me smile is "Peen baaddur". (Peanut butter)
So, today's word is "Ready?"
Every time we watch this video, Eli says, "What?" when I call his name in the video. Luke and I both laugh every time it gets to the part where Eli counts to two really long. Sigh. So cute. I think I'll watch it again....

A Super Duper Pooper
To explain the title, I have decided to bless you with the following video. I can't decide what part I like best, the dad's glasses or the ridiculousness of the song. And I would be lying if I said I've never sung this to Luke...Or Eli...or Kris.
